Seattle Municipal Court

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan nominated Magistrate Judge Faye Chess for a vacant position on Seattle Municipal Court. Chess served as judge pro tempore in King County District Court for over 22 years. She will fill the unexpired term, ending Dec. 31, that was held by Judge Karen Donohue, who was recently appointed to King County Superior Court. Durkan's nomination must be confirmed by the City Council.
