In Seattle, the board of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 21 elected Faye Guenther as president and Joe Mizrahi as secretary treasurer. Guenther became acting president last month after Todd Crosby was appointed organizing director of UFCW International Union. She joined UFCW 21 in 1999 and helped organize many of the union's health care units. Mizrahi joined UFCW 21 in 2008 after graduating from law school. He has been a union representative, political organizer, political director and staff director. UFCW 21 has over 46,000 members in the state.
