Pope Resources

Global forest company Rayonier will acquire Poulsbo-based Pope Resources for about $554 million in equity and cash. The deal will increase Rayonier's holdings in the Pacific Northwest to 504,000 acres, adding 57 million board feet of timber. Pope, a publicly traded limited partnership, owns and manages 125,000 acres of timberland and other properties in Washington. Rayonier is headquartered in Wildlight, Florida. The deal is expected to close by mid-year.
