BMW Northwest owner Manfred Scharmach bought and reopened BMW Motorcycles of Seattle at 8100 Lake City Way. Scharmach has 52 years of experience running several BMW automotive dealerships. A news release says he was approached by BMW Motorrad to reopen the motorcycle dealership. The Lake City BMW operation was one of five area motorcycle dealerships owned by Microsoft executive Howard Crow that were closed in September 2019, according to the Seattle Times.
