Twelve Tacoma residents were appointed to the inaugural Tacoma Creates Advisory Board by the Tacoma City Council. The primary responsibility of the board is to help Tacoma Creates staff ensure compliance to program and accountability standards. The board also advises the Office of Arts & Cultural Vitality to guide program development and approve funding recommendations. The following appointees make up the Tacoma Creates Advisory Board: Kenya Adams, arts position; Putter Bert, council district 2 position; Megan Clark, council district 5 position; Sheree Cooks, council district 4 position; Amanda Figueroa, science position; Jason Gamboa, heritage position; Roxane Hreha, public education position; Michael Hudson, culture position; Connar Mon, youth position; Dominica Myers, council district 3 position; Liesl Santkuyl, council district 1 position; and Davon White, community engagement position. Tacoma Creates is a voter-approved initiative to increase access to arts, culture, heritage and science experiences.
