Wilson unveils housing initiative to streamline permitting, boost construction

Seattle Mayor Katie B. Wilson has issued a new executive order designed to address housing production and affordability across the city.

Executive Order 2026 4 aims to spur the creation of both affordable and market-rate housing by streamlining permitting. It also launches a new task force to advise the mayor on her housing agenda.
