Seattle bans AI grocery pricing

SEATTLE — The Seattle City County has passed the Fair and Transparent Pricing policy, aimed at banning grocery retailers from using AI-driven analysis of customers' personal data to set individualized prices.

The ordinance was approved in a 7-2 vote.
