Central Washington University

A Central Washington University student team last week won second place in the commercial building division of the National Student Championship in San Diego. The event was sponsored by the Associated General Contractors of America. Twenty-one teams from colleges across the country competed in the competition, which tested students’ skills on bidding, planning and scheduling construction projects. The winner in the commercial building division was Colorado State University. Roger Williams University took third. In the heavy civil division, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo took first, the University of Oklahoma took second and Weber State University took third. The Milwaukee School of Engineering won the design-build division. Clemson University was second, followed by California State University, Long Beach.
