Guy F. Atkinson Construction recently won two Roadway Work Zone Safety Awareness awards from the American Road & Transportation Builders Association Transportation Development Foundation for its work on the Interstate 405 widening design-build project in south Bellevue. The $124 million project, which included removal of the Wilburton Tunnel, received first place for its safety training programs and second place for public outreach. Paul Mayo is Atkinson’s project manager. Atkinson has a Northwest office in Renton.
