SEATTLE — Sound Transit's board is scheduled for a long meeting this afternoon to take up a new version of the resolution that delays some projects from the Sound Transit 3 measure passed by voters 10 years ago.
Facing down a projected $34.5 billion budget shortfall over the next two decades, the agency is considering funding some high-profile projects through design only, including the Ballard Link extension and long-planned infill stations in south Seattle and Tukwila.
