OLYMPIA — Seven road safety projects in Washington state have been awarded nearly $24.6 million from the federal Department of Transportation's Safe Streets and Roads for All grant program.
Among the awardees is the city of Seattle, which will receive approximately $9.7 million to implement safety improvements at six high-injury locations through the addition of high-friction surface treatment on four corridors and signalized intersection upgrades at two intersections.
