DCI Engineers hired Nick Malbouef, Andrew Kracht, Ellen Eastgate, David Wheeler and Aaron Miller as structural project engineers in the Seattle office. Malbouef holds a bachelor’s in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is assisting project managers. Kracht has two years of experience at KPFF Consulting Engineers. He is working on a remodel and addition to a medical office building at 1124 Columbia St. in Seattle. Eastgate has 20-plus years of experience, mainly with wood design. She works on new construction, seismic retrofits and tenant improvements, including the North Lot project in Seattle. Wheeler has five-plus years of industry experience. He is working on Ballard Lofts in Seattle. Miller is re-joining DCI with five-plus years of engineering experience. He is familiar with nuclear level structural codes and is certified as an OSHA Qualified Person for fall protection system design and analysis. He is working on tenant improvements and new construction. DCI is a civil and structural consulting engineering firm based in Seattle, with offices also in Spokane; Portland and Eugene, Ore.; San Diego and Irvine, Calif.; and Austin, Texas.
