Finding the zone of high productivity

  • Squeezing profits includes identifying root causes and permanent solutions for productivity problems.

    For many firms, the phase "tracking productivity" means watching billable hours: eight hours of pay for eight hours of work and monitoring staff overtime.

    While these measures are indisputably useful, they do little, in my opinion, to drive one toward greater production. What is missing? Let us start by examining the four levels of productivity.
