All Business: Minimum wage hike added burden at small firms

  • Many can't raise prices enough to stem the decline in earnings, illustrating the vicious cycle that consumers and businesses are stuck in now.

    NEW YORK — If the law of averages really worked, then the upcoming hike in the minimum wage would help offset consumers' surging food and fuel costs.
