BECU

Martinez-Vasquez

BECU hired Jackie Martinez-Vasquez as its first vice president of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. She will be responsible for leading BECU-wide equity strategy, tools and processes. Prior to joining BECU, Martinez-Vasquez served as the chief civil rights, equity and inclusion officer at Sound Transit. Before that, she spent eight years in community engagement, equity and social responsibility senior leadership roles at the YMCA of Greater Seattle.

Spacelabs Healthcare

Albany Medical Center selected Spacelabs Healthcare to upgrade its physiologic monitoring and telemetry systems. The medical center is Northeastern New York's only academic health sciences center. Spacelabs Healthcare, headquartered in Snoqualmie, is a provider of medical equipment and services, including solutions for patient monitoring and connectivity, diagnostic cardiology, and supplies and accessories selling to hospitals, clinics, and physician offices. The Company has offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, and Italy, and distributors in more than 100 countries around the world.

Lightfox Games

Lightfox Games, a Seattle-based mobile games developer and publisher announced a seed round investment of $3.3 million led by March Gaming, with participation from Hiro Capital and 1Up Ventures. Lightfox was founded in 2019 by Ryan Hanft-Murphy, Jordan Arnold, Rex Downham and Tony Tewes. The newly raised funds will be used to grow the company and bring its first product, Super Battle League, to market.

King County

King County Executive Dow Constantine named April Putney, current director of government and external relations, as his new chief of staff. Putney has worked in the executive's office since 2014. Putney replaces Rachel Smith, who was named president and CEO of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. Smith, who also serves as Deputy County Executive, will retain that position until she leaves the executive's office at the end of the year.

University of Washington

Best Master's Programs, an online guide to master's degrees and careers, ranked the University of Washington's online master's degree program for construction management as best in the nation. The list of the 25 best online CM schools for 2021 was derived from tuition, alumni salary and student satisfaction data. Purdue University was second and the University of Illinois was third. Other Pac-12 schools on the list were Arizona State University (eighth) and the University of Southern California (12th).

Construction Center of Excellence

The Construction Center of Excellence is holding a construction video contest for high school students called We Build Washington! The purpose of the statewide contest is to promote construction as an industry of choice from a student perspective. Construction craft students can showcase their building projects and win a $2,000 scholarship for first place, $1,000 for second and $500 for “people's choice.” Projects could range from a birdhouse to a shed to a bathroom remodel. The contest runs until Dec. 9. Scholarships may be used for an accredited college or university, or applied to apprenticeship programs. LegitScript

Portland-based LegitScript appointed Scott Roth as chief executive officer. Roth joined LegitScript as president earlier this year. He previously was CEO at Jama Software. John Horton, who has served as CEO since founding the company in 2007, will shift to executive chairman and will serve as the company's chief strategy officer. LegitScript provides merchant and product certification and monitoring for internet and payment companies.

TrueBlue

TrueBlue announced that Taryn Owen, Jill Quinn and Loree Lynch have been named to Staffing Industry Analysts' Global Power 150 — Women in Staffing list. The list recognizes female leaders from around the world and spotlights the contributions and influence of women in the staffing industry. Owen is president of TrueBlue's industrial staffing segment, PeopleReady, which puts nearly 300,000 people to work each year. Quinn serves as president of Centerline Drivers, a driver staffing services company employing over 4,000 drivers annually. Quinn took on the additional role of executive leader of PeopleReady Skilled Trades in September 2020. Lynch serves as the senior vice president of operations for Staff Management/SMX, which specializes in on-site management of workforces across North America. TrueBlue is a provider of specialized workforce solutions.

Lighthouse

Seattle-based Lighthouse has been ranked No. 364 on Deloitte's Technology Fast 500, a ranking of the 500 fastest-growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and energy tech companies in North America. In order to be eligible for Technology Fast 500 recognition, companies must own proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold to customers in products that contribute to a majority of the company's operating revenues. Companies must have base-year operating revenues of at least $50,000 and current-year operating revenues of at least $5 million. Additionally, companies must be in business for a minimum of four years and be headquartered within North America. For 25 years, Lighthouse has provided software and services to manage data for compliance and legal teams.

MTI

Mobile Technologies Inc. hired Craig Parietti as chief financial officer and Tony Woods as vice president of human resources. In addition, Vicki VanValin, who joined MTI in 2012, was promoted to vice president, global sales; and Parbin Chand was promoted to vice president, production and supply chain. MTI partners with enterprises to develop, build and support in-person interactive experiences in industries like retail, hospitality and health care. MTI is headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, with offices in Dublin, Hong Kong, and London.
