NHL Seattle

OVG-Seattle and NHL Seattle hired three senior leaders: Kendall Tyson, vice president of strategy and analytics; Eric Jaeger, vice president of arena finance; and Stephany Keeley, vice president of team finance. Tyson led corporate development and strategy for Topgolf Entertainment Group. Jaeger was finance director for Jones Lang LaSalle. Keeley was senior manager of accounting at T-Mobile. OVG-Seattle is the local office of the Oak View Group, which is leading redevelopment and operations of the new arena at Seattle Center.

Bluetooth SIG

In Kirkland, Bluetooth Special Interest Group appointed Haipeng Jin of Telink Semiconductor to its board for a two-year term. Jin co-founded Shanghai-based Telink and leads its research and development team. Bluetooth SIG oversees development of Bluetooth standards and licensing.

Three Girls Media

CV Magazine named Yelm-based Three Girls Media as the top social media marketing firm in the state. Three Girls Media was founded in 2005 in Silicon Valley and moved to Yelm in 2013. Erika Taylor Montgomery is CEO.

Seattle Public Schools

Dr. Mia Williams, principal at Aki Kurose Middle School, received the Mary Hatwood Futrell Human and Civil Rights Award from the National Education Association. Williams was one of 12 recipients nationwide to receive the award.

U-Haul

Security Public Storage of Portland is now a U-Haul neighborhood dealer of trucks, trailers, towing equipment and moving supplies. The company is at 2088 N.W. Vaughn St. Michael Eisler owns it.

Pierce County Superior Court

Sabrina Ahrens was appointed as a judge in Pierce County Superior Court. Ahrens has over 17 years of legal experience, and is a court commissioner for Pierce County Superior Court. She also worked for the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for 14 years as deputy prosecuting attorney. Ahrens will replace Judge Susan Serko, who is retiring at the end of August.

Degginger McIntosh & Associates

Newport Beach, California-based Alliant Insurance Services acquired Degginger McIntosh & Associates, an insurance broker with offices in Seattle and Bellingham. Degginger's focus is on property and casualty insurance, but the firm also provides risk management and employee benefits. Keith Degginger and fellow principal Ken McIntosh continue with Alliant, as does the entire Degginger McIntosh team. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

King County

Fifty-eight local facilities earned environmental awards from King County's Industrial Waste Program for their efforts to protect regional water quality in 2018. Four of those facilities won the Commitment-to-Compliance Award, which requires meeting permit requirements every month for five consecutive years with no violations. Those winners were: Boeing Co. (Plant 2), Esterline Hytek Finishes Co., King County Solid Waste Division (Algona Transfer Station) and Safeway (beverage plant).

Pet Alliance of Washington

Pet Alliance of Washington will donate $5,000 to Pet Savers in Spokane for spay and neuter services. Pet Alliance is a year-old coalition of animal welfare organizations.
