Mackenzie announced the following professional recognitions. Eunoh Lee has been elevated to associate and Andy Tatkowski and Rachel Hedlof have been elevated to senior associates.

Lee is a certified design firm administrator, demonstrating a high-level of administrative expertise in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. She has a wide range of experience in client service skills, office management, document processor, and now working as a contract administrator. She holds a MS in applied visualization and a BFA in graphic design from Mississippi State University.

An engineer, Tatkowski is the structural team lead in Mackenzie's Seattle office. He brings a great depth of knowledge and experience to Mackenzie and has had a large impact with improving processes and procedures throughout the department. He received his master's degree in civil engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Architect Hedlof has over 18 years of architectural experience managing projects in several building sectors including public, commercial, and multifamily. She works closely with team architects and managers to create exceptional results for clients. In particular she has had a great impact on Mackenzie's commercial business unit.

Rolluda Architects, Inc. welcomed six new staff members between June 2022 and January 2023.

Steven Garcia has joined the firm as an IT and office support assistant. Garcia is a recent graduate from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Computer Science. Part of his work experience includes writing and video editing for The Daily Iowan.

Mia Ho joined the firm as a designer III associate. Ho has a Ph.D. in Built Environment from the University of Washington where she also worked as a teaching assistant. She has 10 years of preservation experience in New Jersey and New York working at companies like Walter B. Melvin Architects, Stephen Tilly, and Historic Building Architects. Her other accomplishments include earning a master's degree in Art History from the National Taiwan University and another one in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania. All on top of her bachelor's degree in Architecture which she earned at Tamkang University, Taiwan.

Julia Park is now a project architect I at Rolluda. Park is a University of WA graduate with over 20 years of experience covering a diverse range of projects from residential high-rises to government facilities. She's worked for notable firms in Washington that facilitated her involvement in the renovation of the Truman Elementary, Alderwood Elementary, and Challenger Elementary schools.

Pranali Shah is now a designer III associate at Rolluda. Shah is a registered architect in India and a graduate with a bachelor's degree in architecture from the Academy of Architecture in Mumbai. She practiced earthen architecture while in Ladakh. When she moved to Seattle, she got the opportunity to work on residential projects while working for another firm. Currently, she is working on school and non-profit projects for Rolluda Architects.

Norma Tompkins joined the firm as a designer II associate. Tompkins earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from the Universidad Autonoma de Tamaulipas in Mexico where she was also licensed. When she moved to Seattle, she took architecture-related classes at the University of Washington. Her interest in sustainable practices inspired her to pursue a bachelor's degree in Applied Science in Sustainable Building Science Technology from South Seattle College and get certified as a LEED Green Associate. She was part of the international team designing flagship stores of Starbucks. She's worked with a wide range of projects which include restaurants, health clinics, workspaces, and residences. Currently, Tompkins is working on King County Waste Stations North and South relocation, and the Vashon Waste Station Model.

Alexander Clark returned to the firm as principal/projects controls following a year-long sabbatical. He's been a Principal of Rolluda Architects since 2012. With 25 plus years of work experience in architecture ranging from government, public and educational sector clients, Clark brings with him a wealth of useful knowledge as he takes on more of a financial and operations manager role for Rolluda Architects this time around. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor's degree in Architecture minoring in Fine Arts. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, and a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor (CSBA).

SCJ Alliance has added three new employees: a senior planner and graphic designer in the Lacey office and an engineering technician in the Gig Harbor office.

New senior planner David Wright has a master's degree in Landscape Architecture from the College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Boise State University.

Graphic designer Jay Cordovado has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia, with a major in Interdisciplinary Art & Design and a minor in English. They are also an entrepreneurial artist.

Engineering technician Madeline Wolff has nearly completed her degree in civil engineering from Saint Martin's University. Construction field experience, computer-aided design skills, and familiarity with WSDOT code are all talents she brings to SCJ.

T-Mobile

Bellevue-based T-Mobile was selected by Vail Resorts as its exclusive nationwide wireless partner in a multi-year partnership focused on bringing 5G to the slopes, trails and lodges at its resorts across the country. The companies will leverage T-Mobile's 5G network to improve connectivity for resort employees and guests, explore 5G-powered solutions to enhance resort operations, and support sustainability goals. T-Mobile will expand and enhance its network at the resorts with additional coverage and capacity. Vail Resorts, through its subsidiaries, is a leading global mountain resort operator. Vail Resorts' subsidiaries currently operate 40 destination mountain resorts and regional ski areas. Additionally, Vail Resorts owns and/or manages a collection of hotels under the Rock Resorts brand, as well as the Grand Teton Lodge Company in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Avalara

Avalara, a provider of cloud-based tax compliance automation for businesses of all sizes, announced the launch of Avalara Property Tax, a new digital business solution for real property and personal property tax management designed to improve tax compliance with automation. Avalara's new property tax software solution allows businesses and accounting professionals to manage their entire property tax portfolio and compliance activities, from preparing business personal property renditions to handling and processing assessments, appeals, and tax bills. This release follows Avalara's acquisition of CrowdReason just over a year ago to help businesses solve property tax compliance challenges. As part of the Avalara Platform, businesses can use Avalara Property Tax to automate their property tax compliance alongside other tax compliance requirements. Red Bison

Bellevue-based Red Bison, a prop-tech and managed services company, announced that Rob Tiffany is joining as managing director, edge compute. In this role, Tiffany will work with customers to identify new opportunities to monetize the edge compute capabilities of Red Bison's in-building network. A best-selling author, speaker, and contributor to technology industry publications, Tiffany previously founded Digital Insights, a strategic advisory consulting firm. He also held positions as head of IoT strategy at Ericsson, chief technology officer at Hitachi, and global technology lead for the Azure IoT cloud platform at Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Tiffany co-founded NetPreceptor, developing an Enterprise Mobility Management platform for smartphones. The Red Bison platform integrates and connects smart building, HVAC, IoT, and other facilities/management technologies to streamline and automate building processes.

The Standard

The Standard recently became a founding sponsor of the Black Insurance Industry Collective to increase inclusion and support leadership opportunities for Black employees while also helping positively reshape the future of the insurance industry. The BIIC is a not-for-profit organization created to accelerate the advancement of Black professionals with the goal of increasing the representation of Black leaders at the mid-to-executive level in the insurance industry. Its goal is to support the development of Black talent in the insurance industry by providing educational opportunities, networking and training opportunities. It is the first industry-fueled effort solely dedicated to the development of Black professionals. One of the BIIC's signature initiatives is a four-day Executive Leadership Program designed specifically for Black professionals in the industry. The Standard is headquartered in Portland and is the marketing name for StanCorp Financial Group, and its subsidiaries: Standard Insurance Company, The Standard Life Insurance Company of New York, Standard Retirement Services, StanCorp Mortgage Investors, StanCorp Investment Advisers, StanCorp Real Estate, and StanCorp Equities.

Edifecs

Edifecs, a global health information technology solutions company, added Tom Schultz to its team of senior leaders as chief revenue officer. Schultz will lead the Edifecs sales team and drive sales strategy and execution. Schultz brings a successful track record ranging from entrepreneurial turnarounds to growing Fortune 1000 organizations. Most recently, he was senior vice president of sales at ABILITY Network. Before ABILITY Network, he served as chief growth officer at Evariant, where he increased valuations leading to a successful sale of the company. Edifecs starts 2023 ranked for the first time as a vendor on the 2023 Best in KLAS: CMS Payer Interoperability Report. Edifecs also launched a partnership with VirtualHealth to provide automated prior authorization for healthcare payer and provider clients. Edifecs is based in Bellevue.

Lease Crutcher Lewis

Lease Crutcher Lewis promoted JB Hall to director of operations in the data center and advanced technologies market. Hall joined the company in 2018 with a diverse background working on data centers and advanced technology, health care and multifamily projects. He started his career as a union carpenter before earning a building construction degree from the University of Washington, and serving as an army ranger at Fort Lewis. Since joining the company, Hall has played an integral role in highly complex projects, including data centers in Tukwila, Vancouver, B.C., and Hillsboro, Oregon. Lewis has offices in Seattle, Portland and Eugene, Oregon.

Burlington-based Trico Companies hired Michael Williams as senior project manager. Williams, DBIA Associate, LEED AP, has over 30 years of experience in construction, and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington. Trico says he's a high-integrity leader who believes gaining trust is the most important aspect of delivering quality food and manufacturing projects for clients.

Skagit County

Moore

Jack Moore is Skagit County's new director of the Planning and Development Services department. Moore served as assistant director of the department since December, and has worked there for 19 years. He has spent over 25 years working in local planning and building departments, with experience in planning, building codes, floodplain management, fire prevention, natural resources and economic development.

ACPA

The American Concrete Pumping Association last month elected its new executive board at its annual meeting and awards presentation in Las Vegas during the World of Concrete event. The Region 1 director is Lee Roy Thompson of Champion Concrete Pumping in Hauser, Idaho. ACPA is a nonprofit advocate for the concrete pumping industry based in Lewis Center, Ohio.

ABC of Western Washington

Sam's Painting of Redmond joined the Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington. The company provides full-scale commercial painting services.
