Thunderbird flies from Rainier Beach to new Vashon roost

New commercial construction on Vashon Island? That's what it seemed during a recent DJC bike-by. But no. It's a renovation job now underway at 15333 Vashon Hwy. S.W., a little north of the town center area, about three miles south of the ferry dock.
