On the Block: From Lucky Lager to an unlucky block finally set for redevelopment
The city of Vancouver has been planning for well over a decade to redevelop its vacant Block 10, at 801 Columbia St. downtown.
Holland Partner Group, which is based in Vancouver, has an agreement in place with the city to ground lease the property — with a future purchase option. The company, acting as its own general contractor, intends to break ground this month, and will later move its headquarters into the new building.
