Golder Associates made several new hires in the Redmond office: Hamidreza Nouri as a project geotechnical engineer, Scott Stoneman as a senior water resources engineer, Billie Jo Wuelfing as a project accounting specialist, Jeanine Kinnard as executive assistant, and Julanne (Cookie) Cardina as a project coordinator. It also hired Richard Buhler as a project geotechnical engineer in its Salt Lake City office. Nouri specializes in conducting numerical simulations and engineering calculations for foundations and earthen structures, and previously worked as a staff/project geotechnical engineer at an Iranian consulting company. Stoneman does hydraulic/hydrologic analyses and water-related civil designs. He has 20 years of consulting experience, including several with Golder in Redmond and Brisbane, Australia. Wuelfing has more than 13 years of experience, including as field office manager and lead billing specialist. Kinnard is an executive assistant to Golder's chief information officer, Emmanuel Rodriguez. She has previously worked in biotech, engineering and software. Cardina was an administrative assistant for 19 years in Ohio. Buhler is responsible for pipeline work and geotechnical investigations at mining sites. Golder is a ground engineering and environmental consulting firm with about 8,000 employees in more than 180 offices worldwide. Its Northwest offices also include Portland and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

SRG Partnership hired Olivia Croom as a marketing coordinator in the Portland office. Croom holds a master's in writing and book publishing from Portland State University and a bachelor's in English. She has skills in graphic design, writing, administration and social media. SRG provides programming, planning, architecture and interior design. It also has a Seattle office.

NAC|Architecture promoted Michael Cole and Trish Buzan to associate principal, David Shaffer to senior associate, and Marty Orchard and Jon St. Pierre to associate. Cole, an architect in the Spokane office, is project manager for the renovation of Patterson Hall at Eastern Washington University. Buzan is technology director, focusing on improvements in technologies and processes. Shaffer works in the Seattle office, and is project architect for the Evergreen Heights ES project. Orchard is a marketing manager in the Spokane office. He leads marketing and proposal efforts and manages marketing systems. St. Pierre is an electrical system designer in the Spokane office, and is system designer for Phil Snowdon Elementary School. NAC also has offices in Los Angeles and Denver.

Notkin Mechanical Engineers hired Peter Eberle, Yan-Hon (Moses) Chong and Brian Robinett as project engineers; Robert Lauderdale and Daimian Bingham as mechanical designers; Richard Rhodes as a CAD technician; Holly Newman as controller; and Sophana Kong as front desk coordinator. It rehired Larry Brown as a project manager and Pam Babitsky as a CAD designer. Eberle has 14 years of experience in mechanical design and commissioning for health care, cultural arts, higher education and federal clients. Chong has six years of experience in HVAC design and energy analysis for education, health care, research and mixed-use clients. Robinett has 10 years of mechanical and plumbing design experience for educational, health care and municipal projects. Lauderdale has six years of experience in mechanical and plumbing design for federal, health care and educational projects. Bingham has three years of experience in commercial HVAC and kitchen ventilation design. Rhodes has worked for recreational, hospitality and federal clients. Newman has 20-plus years of accounting experience with electronic commerce, digital technology, banking and nonprofits. Kong will provide operations support. Brown has 30 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specializing in infrastructure replacement projects. Babitsky has 30-plus years of experience in drafting for engineering and contracting firms. Seattle-based Notkin provides analysis, design and sustainability consulting services for health care, education and government clients.

Sparling

Sparling hired Marc Jenkins as an acoustician in its Lynnwood headquarters. Jenkins holds a bachelor's in applied physics from Brigham Young University. He is working on acoustically treating noise in HVAC systems at University Village South Building. Sparling provides electrical engineering, technology and audiovisual consulting, acoustical and lighting design, with offices also in Portland and San Diego.

Otak

Otak engineering, urban design, architecture and planning firm hired Kjell Stendal as a marketing coordinator in the Kirkland office. Stendal has experience in writing, editing, communications, proposal development and database management. He was a proposal writer and marketing coordinator for a digital marketing company in Seattle. Otak has offices in Washington, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon and Abu Dhabi, UAE.

SRG Partnership

SRG Partnership promoted Jeff Yrazabal to principal in Portland and hired Erica Hildebrand as visual communications manager in the business development team in Seattle. Yrazabal has practiced architecture for 13 years. His projects since joining SRG in 2005 include the Washington State University Veterinary Biomedical Research Building. He is working on the Hillsboro Ballpark. Hildebrand has 18 years of experience in graphic design and branding for architectural and environmental design firms. SRG provides programming, planning, architecture and interior design.

Gustafson Guthrie Nichol

Seattle-based landscape architecture firm Gustafson Guthrie Nichol hired Cheryl dos Remedios as marketing and communications associate. She has a background in art, project management, public works and landscape preservation. She will lead GGN's public communications and marketing. GGN also has an office in Washington, D.C.

Glosten Associates

Seattle-based engineering consultancy The Glosten Associates hired Hugh Townsend as a senior marine consultant. He supports the PelaStar technology team and works on the new Offshore Wind Floating Platform demonstration project that is being designed for the coast of Cornwall, UK. Townsend previously was president, CEO and chairman of Reid Middleton. He has experience in civil and structural engineering and marine project management, and has worked for 30-plus years in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and elsewhere.

Coffman Engineers

Coffman Engineers promoted Timber Chinn to a new vice president of human resources position and Jim Ivers to chief financial officer. This coincides with a leadership transition as the company's CFO Pat Piermattei moves to a part-time, senior vice president job. Chinn will work on employee relations, compensation and benefits, recruitment, training and development, safety, wellness programs, and regulatory compliance. She has been with the firm for 30-plus years. Ivers will lead the financial and risk management operations and participate in decisions about the 401(k) plan, real estate, and mergers and acquisitions. He joined Coffman in 2007 as controller. Piermattei was CFO for the past 32 years and will continue to support the company with financial and legal duties. Coffman provides civil, structural, industrial mechanical, process piping, commercial mechanical, electrical engineering and controls, lighting, project management, commissioning, and corrosion control engineering. It has offices in Seattle, Spokane, Los Angeles, Anchorage, Honolulu, and Hagatna, Guam.
