Runberg Architecture Group promoted Constanza Marcheselli to principal. Marcheselli specializes in affordable housing and affordable senior housing. She is leading work on 9th and Pine, a mixed-use development in Seattle, and holds a master's degree in architecture from Tulane University. The Seattle-based firm designs mixed-use and adaptive reuse projects.

NK Architects promoted Steve Fischer to managing associate. He is responsible for business development, feasibility studies, early project analyses, client relationships, and helping to establish design vision. His projects include The Vue apartments in West Seattle. He was with Mithun and GGLO, has experience in senior housing, and worked in Europe and Asia. NK focuses on residential and commercial buildings, with feasibility, design, development and historic consulting services.

Winner

Swenson Say Faget structural engineering firm hired Kevin Winner as a staff engineer in Seattle, and Tony Williamson as a senior CAD technician and Jake DeBoer as a CAD technician in Tacoma. Winner holds an architectural engineering degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He has designed orphanages in Uganda and Honduras, and had a summer internship at the Texas Department of Transportation. He is working on high-end housing. Williamson provides Revit and AutoCAD support and is working on a mixed-use facility in Kirkland for developer Natural & Built Environments. He provided CAD management and IT backup for 12 years for ABKJ, and most recently for Lund Wright Opsahl. DeBoer is a graduate of South Puget Sound Community College's CAD and BIM technologies program. He does CAD and Revit production, and is working on the US Biotek offices in Shoreline.

Hart Crowser

Hart Crowser hired Julie Wilson as a senior associate environmental project manager in Portland. In Edmonds, it hired James Selleck as a marine ecologist and Beth Sosik as a fisheries biologist. Wilson will focus on environmental cleanup, water quality and stormwater permitting/management. She holds a Ph.D. and has been on science and regulatory advisory committees, and worked on the Portland Harbor Superfund project. Selleck worked at Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, where he managed projects with the groundfish management team, and at the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. Sosik is a fisheries biologist who holds a master's in aquatic and fishery sciences from the University of Washington. She volunteers with the Ocean Inquiry Project, a nonprofit that educates people by having them observe science onboard ships. She and Selleck will support habitat restoration and fisheries projects in the Northwest and Alaska. Hart Crowser is a Seattle-based firm that provides environmental and geotechnical engineering, natural resources, and environmental remediation technologies.

PCS Structural Solutions hired Deneise Kopetzky as marketing manager, and Ashley Thompson and Kelsey Rogel as design engineers. Kopetzky has more than 10 years of experience in the architectural/engineering/construction field. She will lead marketing initiatives, including competitive research and business development. Thompson holds master's degrees in human-centered design and engineering and in structural engineering from the University of Washington. She is working on the Seattle Academy for Arts and Science addition. Rogel holds a bachelor's in civil engineering from Washington State University and bachelor's in psychology from Willamette University. She is working on the Tacoma Art Museum Haub Wing.

Terracon Consultants hired Richard Luark as a senior geotechnical engineer in the Seattle office. Luark has more than 25 years of geotechnical experience, with an emphasis on retaining wall/shoring design, construction dewatering, deep excavations, and urban infill redevelopment. His portfolio includes residential and office developments, and municipal projects in the western United States.

Herrera Environmental Consultants hired landscape architect Jason King. He has 16 years of experience on projects, focusing on green infrastructure, stormwater management, green roofs, parks and sustainable master planning. Herrera is an engineering and scientific firm focused on restoration, water and sustainable development.

Aegis Engineering

Barnum

Aegis Engineering hired Thomas Barnum as a senior fire protection engineer. Barnum has 13 years of experience in fire protection, including alarm and sprinkler design, code compliance, egress analysis and smoke control testing. Aegis provides fire protection engineering and building code consulting services.

ZGF Architects

Vikram Sami joined ZGF Architects as an associate partner specializing in sustainable design. He was a sustainable design analyst at Perkins + Will in Atlanta where his projects included the King Abdullah University Research Park in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Innovation Square in Gainesville, Fla. He was an adjunct faculty member at Georgia Tech, and past chair of the Georgia Solar Energy Association and the AIA Atlanta COTE energy taskforce.
