Langan will work on renovation of Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine as part of GGLO's growing hospitality design team.

Gensler hired Barton A. Drake as a senior project manager in its Seattle aviation practice. Drake has more than 35 years in the architectural/engineering field, most recently as Northwest District operations officer and a senior project manager in HNTB's Bellevue office. His clients include Seattle-Tacoma and Portland airports. He will lead multi-disciplinary teams at Gensler, a global design, planning and strategic consulting firm.

Meng Analysis

Albert

Meng Analysis hired Brad Albert as project coordinator for studies done by the firm. Albert holds a bachelor's in architectural studies from Washington State University. Seattle-based Meng provides quality and cost performance services, including value analysis, constructability reviews, commissioning, condition analysis and cost estimating.

Landau Associates

Pawling

Scott Pawling joined Landau Associates as an associate geotechnical engineer. Pawling has worked on dam stabilization, railroad infrastructure and retaining walls for 10-plus years. He will oversee subsurface investigations, prepare technical recommendations for site development and design, and provide field support. Landau is an environmental, geotechnical, permitting and compliance consulting firm.

ESM Consulting Engineers

Mann

ESM Consulting Engineers hired Evan Mann as a project planner in its Federal Way office. Mann previously worked at Parametrix on the SR 520 bridge replacement. He also has been a land use planner in South Puget Sound. ESM provides civil engineering, surveying, planning, GIS, mobile data collection and landscape architecture.

Integrus Architecture promoted Jeremy Theodore to senior associate, and hired Kyoko Iwasaka as a project architect, Jim Beaver as marketing coordinator, Eli Jaeger as marketing manager, Morgan Wiese as a structural engineer-in-training, TJ Hoving and Brenda Hake Misel as project designers, and Hank Warneck, Cameron Walker and Anton Adams-Fuchs as intern architects. Theodore has experience in engineering, sustainability and construction. He has consulted on envelope and sustainability issues for projects in the U.S. and Asia, and led design teams on higher education projects, including Texas A&M University Northside Residence Hall. Integrus provides architectural, planning, interior design, structural engineering and security design services, with offices in Seattle, Spokane and Carmel, Ind.

GeoEngineers

In Tacoma, GeoEngineers hired Brandon Brayfield as a staff geologist, Denell Warren as a staff environmental data analyst and Christina Gonzales as a GIS analyst. In Redmond, it hired Michael Kirshner as an IT support services technician, Grace Harper as a staff environmental engineer and Bridget August as a staff hydrogeologist. In Seattle, it hired Michael August as a GIS analyst. GeoEngineers is an earth science, engineering and technology consulting firm headquartered in Seattle.

PAE

PAE mechanical and electrical engineering firm hired Allan Montpellier as associate principal in its Seattle office. Montpellier has a background in sustainable design and mechanical engineering, and previously was at WSP Flack + Kurtz in Boston, where he led commercial, higher education and mixed-use projects in cities, including Seattle. His past projects include 1201 Third Avenue in Seattle and Apple Design Studio in Cupertino, Calif. PAE also has offices in Portland and San Francisco.

Professional Service Industries

Professional Service Industries hired Michael Place as a project engineer in its Mountlake Terrace office. Place holds a bachelor's in geological engineering from Colorado School of Mines. The firm provides environmental engineering and testing, and is based in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill.

Mead & Hunt

Mead & Hunt hired Miroslav Kurka as a water resources vice president. Kurka is a retired U.S. Army officer who has managed programs for the Corps of Engineers in the Northwest, Tulsa and Afghanistan. He oversees water resources professionals in planning, design and construction engineering for infrastructure, flood control, dams and hydropower projects in the U.S.

Bioremediation Specialists

Brooke Schmidt joined the Beaverton, Ore., office of Bioremediation Specialists as a technical sales assistant. She has seven years of experience overseeing environmental projects incorporating bioremediation. The remediation products company also has an office in Seattle.
