Hart Crowser hired Jim Shannon as an associate biologist in its Edmonds office and promoted Jason Stutes to associate marine ecologist and Adrienne Stutes to project marine scientist in Anchorage. Shannon has 21 years of experience in the Pacific Northwest. He will support fisheries and aquatic science-related studies; permitting; fish, stream, avian and marine mammal monitoring; and natural resources services. Jason Stutes is Hart Crowser's Anchorage office manager. He has supported projects involving nearshore permitting, baseline studies, and environmental restoration for seven years. Adrienne Stutes is the technical lead on projects evaluating the effects of environmental chemistry and contamination on freshwater and marine natural resources. Seattle-based Hart Crowser provides environmental and geotechnical engineering, natural resources, and environmental remediation technologies.

Seattle-based Architectural Elevator Consulting hired Drina Hiemann as an engineering and CAD designer. Hiemann is a graduate of Portland State University in architecture and environmental sustainability. She will provide design and project management services.

Gruber holds a bachelor of fine arts in interior design from California State University, Long Beach. She is working on a tenant improvements for Consolidated Metco. Joyce has eight years of experience and is working on tenant improvements for a client in Michigan. Walt has 10 years of experience in architecture and is working on overseas projects for the U.S. Department of State. Waters is returning to YGH as a project architect with more than 34 years of architectural experience. He is working on an overseas project for the U.S. Department of State. Yost Grube Hall provides planning, architecture and interior design.

Sparling hired Nathan Ellis as project manager for technology services. His focus is technology infrastructure, audiovisual systems and electronic security systems design. He has a background in technology systems and large Class A data centers. He is working on Bellevue Square Southeast Corner. Sparling is an electrical, technology, audiovisual, acoustical and lighting design firm with offices in Lynnwood, Portland and San Diego.

Farallon hired Bob Long as a principal and office manager in the new office in Portland. Long is a hydrogeologist with more than 22 years in water resources planning, development, and management for industry, agriculture, and municipal clients. His experience includes project management for water and energy development clients in the West, and environmental consulting. Issaquah-based Farallon also has offices in Seattle and Bellingham.

WHPacific hired Jim Collier as a graphic designer on the corporate marketing team in the Bothell office. His 27 years of experience includes being a senior graphic designer for The Creative Group, Camp Dresser McKee and INCA Engineers, a graphic designer for AT&T Wireless and RE/MAX Real Estate, and an art director for Vernon Publications. WHPacific provides architecture, building engineering, energy, environmental, land development, surveying, transportation and water resources services.

ESM Consulting Engineers promoted Laura Bartenhagen, Brianne Gastfield and Trevor Stiff to principal. Bartenhagen has been practicing civil engineering design in Washington, Oregon, and California for 14 years. She has worked at ESM for the past 10 years as a project manager on master planned communities and residential, retail, mixed-use, commercial and industrial projects. Gastfield has been with the firm for nine years. She is its lead project engineer for Snoqualmie Ridge and projects in Snohomish, King, and Pierce counties. Stiff joined ESM in 2001 and works as a project manager on projects ranging from residential developments to permitting for utility companies. Federal Way-based ESM provides civil engineering, surveying, planning, GIS, mobile data collection and landscape architecture services. It also has an office in Everett.
