In Seattle, Parametrix hired John Phillips as director of integrated watershed management. Phillips will assist clients in identifying and developing solutions for combined and sanitary sewer overflows to meet consent decree and discharge standards. He has 20 years of experience in environmental sciences and natural resources, including most recently as combined sewer overflow program manager with King County, where he oversaw a pilot program to test new technology for wet weather treatment. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental sciences.

Sokolow

Seattle-based Hart Crowser named Loren Sokolow and Doug Lindquist to its board of directors. Sokolow has four decades of experience as a financial and operations executive. He is chief financial officer at Psomas, where he is responsible for all financial management, including accounting, financial planning and cash management. Lindquist is a geotechnical and seismic engineer who has been with the firm for 20 years. He has a background in performance-based seismic design, a type of earthquake analysis commonly used for tall buildings and waterfront structures. Hart Crowser provides geotechnical engineering, environmental science and engineering, stormwater services and disaster resilience.

GGLO promoted Kevin Reed and Don Vehige in its Seattle office to principal. Reed joined the firm in 2006 and is a project architect, project manager and digital technology lead. He holds a bachelor of architecture degree from Virginia Tech. Vehige was hired in 2000 and leads urban design projects. He has done master planning for mixed-use communities, programming, charrette facilitation and streetscape and housing design. He has a bachelor of architecture from the University of Minnesota and a master of landscape architecture from the University of California Berkeley.

Mahlum promoted Niki Lesko to principal, Becky Hutchinson and Stacey Crumbaker to associate principal and Laura Poulin to associate. Lesko is director of marketing. She has 20 years of experience in marketing and business development for professional services. Hutchinson is a project architect and manager with educational clients from Boston to Seattle. She has a master of architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design. Crumbaker holds a bachelor's in interior design and a master of architecture from Arizona State University and practices at the intersection of architecture and interiors. Poulin has been with Mahlum for over five years and works on educational spaces. She has a master of architecture from the University of Washington. Lesko works in Seattle and Portland, and the rest are based in Seattle. Mahlum specializes in health care, student housing and education.

Salas O'Brien promoted architect Karoline Derse in its Seattle office to vice president. Derse has worked with some of the firm's largest national clients in technology, telecommunications and retail for the past 15 years. She has been a project manager and account manager for several high-profile clients of the facility planning, design, construction management and commissioning firm.

Nani has 11 years of experience in the marine industry, including work with an operator, class society and consulting firm. He has been principal owner of a civil engineering firm and a materials testing and geotechnical engineering firm. Allwest is an engineering, environmental, and construction materials testing firm.
