Brandon Gribben joined Helsell Fetterman as a senior litigation associate. He does real estate litigation, commercial litigation, commercial and residential landlord/tenant law, and general real estate law. Gribben spent six years working as a litigation associate at Kucker & Bruh, LLP in New York City.
Karen Stout has been named to the Bowman Distinguished Professorship in Leadership and will be director of the Karen W. Morse Institute for Leadership at Western Washington University. She is a professor of communication studies.

Samuel E. Baker, a partner at Oles Morrison Rinker & Baker, has been elected a member of the 2014 class of the National Academy of Construction. Baker is one of 27 people recently inducted at the NAC annual meeting. He represents contractors doing heavy civil, marine, buildings and industrial projects.
Washington State Department of Commerce Director Brian Bonlender named Spokane City Councilmember Candace Mumm to the Community Economic Revitalization Board. She is CEO of Smartland LLC, a North Spokane company that builds and rehabilitates homes to make them senior-friendly.

Associated Bond Brokers of Dallas has joined the Bellevue-based fixed income interdealer broker firm of RW Smith. Paige W. Pierce is president and CEO of RW Smith. ABBI's four brokers and founder and CEO Pamela M. Miller will operate under the RW Smith name in Dallas. RW Smith has offices in Los Angeles, Scottsdale, Salt Lake City, Chicago, Minneapolis, Tampa and three cities in New Jersey.
F5 Networks said John McAdam, president and CEO, will retire at the end of this fiscal year. He will remain on the board as non-executive board chair. He joined F5 as president and CEO in 2000.
Snohomish County Superior Court Presiding Judge Michael T. Downes said Marilyn J. Finsen is the new Superior Court administrator, replacing Bob Terwilliger, who plans to retire at the end of 2014. Finsen has worked for Snohomish County for 37 years. In 2003, she became assistant administrator for Superior Court Operations.

Rainier Group Investment Advisory added three staff members. Rebecca (Becky) Wilcox is director of portfolio management, including asset allocation and macro-strategy analysis. Brander Richmond is senior analyst and Roxie Drofiak is client services specialist. The company is a national firm that helps business owners and individuals with business transition and wealth management.
Executive Dow Constantine has appointed Rachel Smith director of government relations to work on state and federal legislative issues. Smith begins Nov. 17. She was Sound Transit's government and community relations officer working on issues in King and Pierce counties.
Fife Police Department Commander David Woods has been appointed assistant police chief. Woods has been with the city for 26 years and has been commander since 2013.
