Holaday-Parks

Mechanical contractor Holaday-Parks has hired Juliana Lear as an administrative assistant in its service department and Melissa Tahirak as an engineering assistant in its administrative group.

Rod Hahn Co.

The Rod Hahn Co., a Seattle-based residential remodeler, has brought on William S. Taulbee as its operations manager. Taulbee is responsible for the company's daily production operations, personnel training and growth, and new business development. He holds bachelor's degrees in civil engineering and liberal arts.

Allied Construction

Allied Construction Associates of Everett has hired Roger Caldwell as an estimator/project manager. Caldwell has 20 years of field and management experience in all phases of commercial construction. He is currently managing renovations of five schools for the Edmonds School District.

Berschauer Phillips

Jace Munson has joined Jim Phillips and Pat Berschauer as a principal at Berschauer Phillips Construction. Munson is assuming the duties of chief executive officer of the corporation. He joined Berschauer Phillips in 1995, and has 17 years of experience in the construction industry.

Lease Crutcher Lewis

Seattle general contractor Lease Crutcher Lewis has hired several administrative workers. The additions include Karrin Kassell, Dan McElwee and Jack Smeltzer. Kassell is assigned to the company's ongoing renovations at Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center. She attended Seattle's Lutheran Bible Institute. McElwee is working at the Sunset North office project in Bellevue. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Syracuse University, and worked last for the Military Entrance Processing Station. Smeltzer is working out of the main office in the Special Projects Division. He previously worked for McDonnell Douglas Helicopter and Consolidated Freightways.

Holaday-Parks

Seattle's Holaday-Parks has made several additions and promotions. John Gray and Andy Papadatos have joined the company's design/build engineering division as project engineers, Perry Christian and David Price are the company's newest CAD professionals, Erik Frederickson has become the CAD group manager, and Dan Connell was promoted to project manager. Gray was most recently with the Boeing Co. in the facilities resource engineering group, working with steam condensate systems, chilled water plants and other projects. Papadatos previously created greenhouse designs for Boullion. Both are now working on the Schnitzer Corporate Campus in Bothell. Connell is managing the Laguna South/Allied Signal office building project in Redmond.

Absher Construction

Puyallup's Absher Construction has been named MassMutual's 1998 National Family Business of the Year in the medium (50-250 employees) business category. Absher was praised by judges in a number of criteria, including business success, positive links between family and business, multiple generations of involvement, contributions to the community and industry, and innovative business practices and strategies. MassMutual will donate $5,000 to Pacific Lutheran University in Absher's name. The company will also be honored this November at the annual Washington Family Business Forum and Awards.

Evergreen

Evergreen Building Products has named Michael Meledandri its residential sales representative for dryvit, the company's exterior insulation and finish systems line. Meledandri will be responsible for the greater Seattle area. He previously worked in the New York area for an EIFS distributor and foam board manufacturer.

Ryan GC

The Steelcraft Construction division of Ryan General Contractors has received an award from Butler Manufacturing for reaching the $5 million mark in sales of Butler's pre-engineered metal buildings. Ryan is based in Woodinville.
