Federal Way-based Donald B. Murphy Contractors has hired Troy A. Edwards as a project manager and promoted Charlie DeGasparis to head of its Cooney McHugh division. Edwards holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from Central Washington University. DeGasparis holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Santa Clara University. He has nine years of experience as an estimator, project engineer and project manager.

The Robinson Co.

Sharon Kennedy has become a partner at The Robinson Co. Kennedy has 20 years of construction industry experience, 10 of those with Robinson. She is the firm's chief estimator and is in charge of a six-person estimating group that specializes in schools, medical facilities and libraries. Seattle-based Robinson specializes in preconstruction services, cost estimating and project management.

Rod Hahn Co.

Residential remodeler Rod Hahn Co. is reorganizing its business structure. Effective July 1, the company incorporated and proprietor Rodney C. Hahn assumed the position of president. The firm is based in Seattle.

Tech-Fast

Tech-Fast Metal Systems of Tacoma has added to its staff. The new hires include: Dave Lopez as lead detailer, Matt Jordan as checker-detailer, and Darryl Dragich and Eric Phillips as detailers. Lopez has seven years of experience in the CADD industry, specializing in commercial structures. Jordan holds an associate degree in mechanical en-gineering design with continuing education in management of technical operations. Dragich has over 22 years of experience in construction design and drafting, including mechanical and structural design and CADD. Phillips has 10 years of CADD experience and holds an associate degree from Lower Columbia College. Tech-Fast is a designer and builder of self-storage structures.

Tech-Fast Metal Systems, Tacoma, has hired several new employees, including Ken Kimball as an engineer, and Craig Brown and Henry Wiggin as project managers. Kimball has 18 years of experience in the design, engineering and construction of commercial structures. He holds an engineering degree from California Polytechnic State University. Brown has 13 years of experience as superintendent and project manager. He graduated from the University of California at Santa Cruz. He is a recent business administration graduate of Portland State University. He has experience in commercial project management and development. Tech-Fast designs and builds structures for the self-storage industry.

FMI Corp.

Construction consultant FMI Corp. has acquired the Brian J. Lewis Co. of Castle Rock, Colo. The Brian J. Lewis Co. consults engineering and architectural firms. Brian Lewis, the firm's owner, is now a principal consultant in FMI's Engineering & Architectural Services Group. FMI is based in Raleigh, N.C. It also has offices in Denver and Tampa, Fla.

Mayes Testing

Mayes Testing Engineers, Everett, has named Michael Dolder vice president and Lonnie Almli controller and human resources manager. He has been with the firm since 1991, perviously serving as general manager. He holds a civil engineering degree from the University of Utah and a MBA from the University of Phoenix. Almli is a University of Washington graduate. She has 25 years of experience in accounting and human resources.
