Andrew Bergh: Is lightning strike an on-the-job accident?

The odds of being struck by lightning are about 576,000 to one.

So even though thundershowers were forecast on July 24, 1998, being struck by lightning was probably the last thing on Richard Byrom's mind when he arrived at work that day.
