On the Block: Why Eastlake is a rocky road for developers

Eastlake has, in recent years, been a rough path for developers. A corner site at 3101 Eastlake Ave. E. is a case in point. Pryde Development owns the corner at East Allison Street, and had with architect Clark Barnes planned a five-story, 104-unit apartment building. The project gained its master use permit in late 2021, went on the market, but found no takers.
