Thousands of deer are slaughtered each year on our roadways.
Have I got any statistics to back this up? As a matter of fact, I do. According to a December 2000 report by the American Farm Bureau Federation, each year there are over one million collisions between deer and vehicles. This results not only in tons of unexpected venison, but also more than $1 billion in annual car repair costs.
