The Client Coach: Know when to quit -- and when not to

One of my favorite cartoons growing up was "Rocky and Bullwinkle." Bullwinkle's numerous ill-fated attempts to impress Rocky with his skills as a magician were particularly funny. For the umpteenth-gillionth time Bullwinkle would say, "Hey, Rocky! Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat!" Rocky, exasperated by a history of repeated failure, would moan, "Not againnnnnnn!" Undaunted, Bullwinkle would stick his hoof into the hat and pull out everything from a growling grizzly bear to a puzzled looking Roman gladiator! Anything but a rabbit!

When it comes to being a success, there's a lot we can learn from Bullwinkle.
